Disclaimer: these stories are a work of fiction.
You were born into this life, some years ago.
You didn’t ask to be born. You simply… found yourself… in this life.
Why?
For what purpose?
Do you simply live the life that you were given unasked, avoiding as best you can pain and sorrow, finding what pleasures you can along the way… and then, at the end of your life, looking back, how would you rate this experience?
Would you rate your life as having been… fairly mediocre? “Had some high points, but overall not so great. Two stars. Would not live again.”
Or perhaps you could find a purpose. Create a purpose. A reason for living this life, where if you had been given a choice, you would have chosen to live this life. A purpose great enough to choose to live this life despite the sorrow, the heartbreak, the terrors and cruelty of the world.
And we live in an age, in a culture, where you’re supposed to forge your own way. Watch a Disney movie, and the protagonist breaks free of those who would hold them back, finds their destiny, creates their destiny.
And of course you can do that. There are even workshops you can go to, on how to create your life purpose.
But does everyone need to do the same thing?
Does everyone need to create their own purpose?
Perhaps you could make use of a purpose that has already been crafted, already highly developed. Perhaps that might be a purpose better crafted than one you could come up with on your own, in your already busy life.
We live in a consumer culture. Could you perhaps… buy a purpose?
Well, yes, of course. There are also workshops for example where using standard cult indoctrination techniques such as deliberately creating a no-win situations for you they will cause you to realize how full of various -isms you are and thus your purpose should be to fight the unending battle to exorcize these -isms from your own soul and the souls of others.
And, naturally there are also more traditional religions. And even if you’re not religious, it might make a certain amount of sense. For example, could you imagine a being who was more caring, more insightful, more perfect? And if so, could you then imagine a being that was the most caring, the most insightful, the most perfect? Entirely perfect? And might it make sense to follow that beacon as your purpose?
Or, if you have a fetish desire for surrender, perhaps you might desire to surrender your purpose.
(What, didn’t you think I was going to get to erotica eventually? 😉)
And naturally many wouldn’t. Someone can have a strong fetish for physical surrender, for example, while having no fetish desire at all for other kinds of surrender.
And, naturally, all forms of surrender have risks, have dangers.
If you might desire to surrender your purpose, you might perhaps desire to surrender to someone. Perhaps someone worthy of your surrender. A knight of the realm, a paladin of virtue, a captain of industry.
That’s certainly a popular option.
And then there’s… me 🙂
Very far from perfect.
Not a paragon of anything.
Ah, yet I desire to help you surrender. That is my fetish desire.
Many no doubt would be pleased to have your surrender, to be given your surrender… without perhaps much particular skill or effort on their part. Which could be completely fine if your fetish desire is to surrender to someone.
If your fetish desire is for surrender, you might value a guide, a partner, to help you create the surrender you desire.
And much as someone might say dedicate their life to art, you could, if you wished, dedicate your life to surrender. To become a disciple, an acolyte, to devote yourself to surrender.
Every choice you make means other choices not taken. Which is why choosing is painful. As long as you don’t choose, the other choices are still possibilities. Making a choice means giving up the other possible choices.
If your desire is to surrender, that is to surrender the other choices. A harder path.
And then you can belong. To belong, yes to me, yet to me as an agent of your surrender. To belong, ultimately, to the art of surrender, the creation of surrender.
And that’s not something others can do. Anyone can follow a religion or go to a workshop. Others however don’t have a fetish desire to surrender their purpose. They can’t go where you can go, if you choose.
To fulfill your fetish desire by belonging to surrender.
